Llora, Llora Corazón is a folk song from northern Peru of the early 20th century, popularized in the 60s by Carmencita Lara. This track is included in Felipe Alberto’s Alma del Ayer album. Alma del Ayer is a collection of traditional Peruvian music recorded and produced independently in Saskatoon, Canada in the studio of Josh J. Palmer. All the songs were recorded with traditional instruments to maintain the authenticity of the criollo and and andean musical genres. Alma del Ayer is a work inspired by love for Peruvian music and the musical legacy of the latin america.
Thank you Branding Avatar in collaboration with J.M.R. Public Relations for all your enthusiasm, support, and guidance on the Alma del Ayer project. Alma del Ayer is an album devoted to showcasing the Peruvian style known as Musica Criolla, a product of African, Spanish, and Andean sounds fused over 500 years. Special thanks to Steve Owens for believing in the project and submitting it to the 58th Grammy Awards.
The summer tour of Alma del Ayer culminates in Peru for the week of Fiestas Patrias. After the sold out show Homenaje a Pasache on April 18, 2015 in Port Chester, New York, Felipe Alberto again shares the stage with Manuel Donayre “the Black Diamond†and Jorge Luis Jasso. Felipe Alberto will be performing three back to back shows in Peru during the week of the national holiday.
